Jason canapp

Veterinary business advisor

I have a pretty eclectic background!  I received my MBA from Loyola College in Maryland, a BA from University of Maryland Baltimore County, and studied law at UC Hastings.  In the veterinary industry, I have served as Chief Operating Officer for Peak Performance Veterinary Group, Animal Emergency Care Centers and Hemo Solutions.  I also helped to found, build, and later serve as Business Director for Veterinary Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Group.  I was a founding member and CEO of The SieBo Group, a business advisory firm where I specialized in new ventures, public affairs, and customer experience management. I’ve lectured on veterinary business topics for a variety of organizations, including: the Canine Rehabilitation Institute, Vet Stem’s Stem Cell Boot Camp, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Florida Veterinary Medical Association.

Prior to my work in the veterinary industry, I worked as a policy advisor and strategic planning coordinator for two Maryland Governors and previously served as a Special Assistant to U.S. Senator Paul Sarbanes.

In addition to reading up on business topics, I enjoy hiking, travel, technology, all things Disney, and just about any topic that would or could be written in the Science section of the NY Times. You can catch me writing about these and other topics on my blog or by following me:

About Me

Let’s be honest; most veterinary hospitals don’t need a full-time MBA-level manager or strategist. But they do need some help. That’s where I come in.

I work with veterinary hospital owners who are lacking direction or control over their practice.  I help them chart a course for success and reestablish control over their practices.

The results: more revenue, reduced costs, and a practice that reflects your vision -- not someone else’s.
